Where to start… Kendall is a newly inducted diplomat with the State Department. We’ve always wanted to travel and live abroad, and this turned out to be the perfect opportunity for us. I will be leaving my job as a communications specialist to get us ready for the move and get us settled on the other end. Oliver will be getting adjusted to life at home with mom and hopefully he will enjoy our super long flight, although I’m not holding my breath.
We love Vietnamese cuisine (at least what we can get in the states) and we’re ready to try all kinds of new foods. We’re also looking forward to Embassy life, including getting to know lots of families to help us along our way.
We’re looking forward to the travel opportunities our new post will bring, especially the countries in the immediate vicinity of Vietnam.
So if you’re wondering what we’re up to in the next couple months, we’re packing and getting ready for our big move!

Wow, sounds amazing! Grandma Kathy will certainly keep me and her other facebook friends updated with as many photos as you send. She and Grandpa Steve are going to miss you like crazy! Wishing your family all the best every step of this journey,
Renee Lynch
(Kathy’s friend since 7th grade!)
P.s., a favorite recipe or two would be awesome!
